Testimonials

“Jamie came to speak to 150 of our Top Management Group and Senior Operational Officers in London Fire Brigade. He took a loose brief simply to tell his story, his way. He captivated the room for 90 minutes. Engaging, compelling, authentic and peppered with good humour. His story of personal resilience, overcoming extreme adversity and his passion for helping others and shaping lives today resonated incredibly well with our team and left a powerful impression on us all. ”

"Jamie has been a Help for Heroes’ Ambassador for 9 years. Having spent time with Jamie, my observation is that he is a very articulate and thoughtful Ambassador. He shares his story with honesty and integrity, positively inspiring his audiences - selflessly. His grit and determination is commendable and often provides a guiding light for those who have experienced setbacks in their lives. Jamie is skilled at engaging audiences in any setting and has a gentle humour which draws in the audience. He also takes time to get to know people attending the event, showing a genuine interest in their work or lives. All Help for Heroes partners and supporters who have met Jamie and
heard his story speak highly of him. They comment that they are often moved, moved because he does not look back, does not voice regret and has an outlook on life which is nothing but progressive. It’s an honour to know him and to have heard his story."

“Jamie is a truly inspirational public speaker. His story of recovery and rehabilitation is told with such candid honesty and simplicity that it is hard not to find yourself hooked from the moment he starts speaking. Jamie recently spoke at the opening of our new physiotherapy clinic. Many of the people who were there have since told me how moved they were by his talk and how it has helped them reassess their lives. For Jamie to have lived through such dark and painful times and come out the other side so positive, and to have achieved the things he has whilst carrying scars and disability has to be a real lesson in what the human spirit can achieve with the right mental attitude. I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you want to book an inspirational speaker to motivate and move people, book Jamie Hull.”

“Jamie spoke to a group of the The Katie Piper Foundation’s beneficiaries in May 2013 about his experiences as a burns survivor. The group was a mix of ages, male and female, all were burn survivors, or had experienced traumatic scarring themselves.
Jamie’s talk and presentation were really well received. He is a confident and thoughtful speaker, presented well to the whole room and conducted a really useful Q&A afterwards. His strength, determination and positivity were much appreciated by all who attended. He took the time to speak to attendees before and afterwards. People left feeling inspired, motivated and uplifted. We are looking forward to booking him again to speak at a future event.”

“Last September I organised a charity bike ride for 160 people across the French Alps in aid of Help for Heroes. The event was a success and we raised over £380,000 for the charity.

The main reason the event was such a success is simply down to one factor. And that was, that we were joined by four ex servicemen, all of whom had been injured whilst serving their country.

One of those servicemen was Jamie Hull. I can honestly say and I know I speak on behalf of many that took part in The Piste 2 Plage Challenge, that meeting Jamie was without doubt the most inspirational moment in our lives.

Jamie has clearly endured so much and will continue to do so, but he faces up to his daily challenges with such humility, bravery and good humour that it very quickly makes you realise that the challenges we all face in life are surmountable. And if you are privileged enough to spend time in his company you will come away a better person with a new perspective on life.

At the end of the event I asked Jamie if he would say a few words at the party to the three hundred and fifty people attending. With very little preparation Jamie had the audience captivated. He has the natural ability of a public speaker and I can honestly say that there was not a dry eye in the house.

If you are considering asking Jamie to speak, I cannot recommend him enough, he will motivate, move and inspire.”

"We were lucky enough to have Jamie Hull speak at one of our EMEA team meetings in May 2021; his story is both tragic and inspiring and he speaks with such passion about his life before and after the accident. The whole team were moved by the events that unfolded and how Jamie has carried on with his active life even after suffering horrific injuries. If you have a chance to hear him speak then I highly recommend it."

"Jamie went down absolutely brilliantly last night when he gave his speech. He has a remarkable story which really struck our audience who hung off his every word. He was punctual, professional and presented extremely well. We’ve all loved meeting him and it was a pleasure to have him join us."
